Anneke Stender is the Executive Vice President of Plumb, an outsourced accounting and enterprise software consultancy firm. Stender has over 15 years of experience in the financial and accounting industry. She oversees Plumb’s Corporate Accounting and Family CFO Divisions, mainly focusing on finance functions on a CFO and Controller-level to support companies and individuals. In addition to managing a team of managers and accountants, she is also responsible for new business development and implementing a strategic plan for growth into new industries and geographical areas.
As a Game Changer, Stender has been instrumental in Plumb’s success. She has helped market and brand outsourced accounting in Southern California as a mainstream service and feasible option for companies of any size. In 2007, she developed the Family CFO division, which now serves over 100 affluent families and high-net-worth individuals. Plumb Family CFO is an innovative business that focuses on personal finances, and provides world-class family accounting reporting and services to bring financial peace of mind.
Originally from Germany, Stender moved to San Diego by herself after high school for a year of English language studies. Within the first six months she fell in love with San Diego and the Southern California lifestyle and stayed for college. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. Stender actively participates in professional associations such as the Estate Planning Council of San Diego, STEP (Society of Trust Estate Professionals), SDSU Business Alumni Association and ProVisors. She was awarded “Top 20 Women Who Impact San Diego” in 2014 and Finalist in San Diego Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” award in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015. In January 2015, Stender was nominated as a board member to the Scripps Health Gift Planning Advisory Board.
She resides in Mission Hills with her husband Steve and their two children, Emma and Ellis.
