Plumb’s Corporate Growth Fuels New Hires and Office Location

Plumb Expands all Divisions with New Employees and New Client Acquisitions

La Jolla, CA – March 2015 – Plumb, Southern California’s premier outsourced accounting and enterprise software consultancy firm announced that it has expanded over the last quarter, prompting several new hires and a new office location in Reno, Nevada.  TAG, which is now up to over 45 full-time employees, provides outsourced accounting services for corporations and high-net-worth families, as well as being a NetSuite Solution Provider and Sage Construction Software Authorized Partner.

Kerri Kelley, Client Relationship Manager, Plumb Family CFO:

Kelley joins Plumb Family CFO with over 15 years of experience in accounting and business management field.  In this role, Kelley will work directly with clients providing controller-level services for corporations and high-net-worth families.  She will also manage a team of Client Associates and focus on new business development in Orange County.

Kelley’s career started in Corporate Marketing where she was a key player in managing a re-branding initiative. In 2001, she trained under a CFO to perform full cycle accounting and quickly became the firm’s Corporate Controller and Business Manager for ten years following.  Kelley is a seasoned accounting professional and has in-depth knowledge of budgeting, inventory controls, job costing and the preparation of financial statements.  She has proven ability to implement process improvements and organizational measures to increase productivity and support key initiatives to increase profitability.  Read more

Robin Schonle, Client Associate, Plumb Family CFO:

Schonle joins the Plumb Family CFO office in Orange County in order to support the growing list of new clients.  As a Client Associate, she handles all aspects of outsourced accounting, including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, audit documentation preparation, tax planning, QuickBooks training and year-end accounting review and adjustments.  She has three years of experience in public accounting, most recently as a Staff Accountant with a CPA firm.  She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Utah Valley University.

Stephanie Singer

Stephanie Singer, CPA, Client Associate III, Plumb Family CFO:

Singer is a Certified Public Accountant assigned to the Plumb Family CFO team in Orange County.  Previously, she was a Senior Internal Auditor at Jack in the Box and assisted external auditors with quarterly and year-end audit procedures.  She also worked at KPMG LLP as a Senior Associate and prepared and reviewed financial statements in compliance with GAAP.  She earned Bachelor in International Business from Azusa Pacific University and Certificate in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

Idette Makar, CPA, Client Associate II, Plumb Family CFO:

Makar is an experienced Accountant with an active CPA license and unique combination of public and private accounting experience.  She joins the Plumb Family CFO office in La Jolla and assists with month-end close, financial reporting, cash flow projections, and account reconciliation.  Makar previously held positions as Accountant, Auditor, and Tax Preparer, working for Huxhold & Associates and consulting engagements to assist in preparation for external and internal audits.  She is a QuickBooks expert, assisting with file set-up, chart of account analysis and training.  She earned Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting from California State University – San Marcos.

Marisa Frezza, Client Associate, Plumb Family CFO:

Frezza is assigned to the Plumb Family CFO office in La Jolla, working with high-net-worth families to manage bill pay, journal entries, and prepare cash projections and financial management reports. She was previously a Bookkeeper at Pareidolia Software Solutions, Inc. and Accounting Specialist/Accounts Receivable with Paychex.  She attended the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and received Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting at West Virginia University.

Jordan Pugmire, Client Associate, Plumb Family CFO:

Pugmire joins the Plumb Family CFO division in La Jolla and ensures that his clients receive accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes and financial reporting.  Most recently, He was an Accountant with Qiagen in Los Angeles and specialized in financial reporting.  He received Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business and Finance at California State University-Northridge and Associate of Science (A.S.) in Accounting at the College of the Canyons.  He also achieved a Level 4 coaching certification for USA hockey.

Andrew Corn, Client Associate II, Plumb Family CFO:

Corn is a Financial and Accounting professional with broad experience in a variety of aspects of accounting. He joins Plumb Family CFO with prior experience as an in-house Accountant/Controller and Financial Manager, successfully managing clients with assets totaling several hundred million dollars. He attended the University of Maryland College Park and earned Accounting Certificate at University of California, Los Angeles.

Colin Massman, Client Associate, Plumb Family CFO:

Massman is a recent graduate from San Diego State University.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and was an active member of Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) and the Student Accounting Society.  While at SDSU he was an Accounting Assistant at the Aztec Shops Ltd., where he performed complex monthly bank account reconciliations, created and prepared journal entries, and designed spreadsheets to assist in external audits.  He joins the Plumb Family CFO team in La Jolla.

Milady Gabat, Associate Consultant, Plumb Accounting:

Gabat has over 15 years of accounting experience and provides outsourced accounting services for multiple clients and industries for Plumb.  She was with Chicago Title for over 10 years in various accounting roles, such as Trust Accountant, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Outgoing Wire Clerk, and Title Assistant.

Annie Tran, Associate Consultant, Plumb Accounting:

Tran joins Plumb with five years of experience as a Financial Accountant with APS, Inc.  She helped develop budgets and reserve studies for 600+ Homeowners Associations annually.  At Plumb, she handles AP and AR management, month-end close, budget analysis and payroll entry.

Anna Dowley, CPA, Associate Consultant II, Plumb Accounting:

Dowley is a registered CPA and comes to Plumb with broad industry experience and well-rounded working knowledge of all accounting and tax services for businesses and individuals.  She has worked as a Senior Accountant at CPA firms and completed thousands of tax returns for S Corps, C Corps, Non-Profits, Individuals and Partnerships.  She received Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Accounting at the University of Arizona.

Tony Marchese

Tony Marchese, CPA, NetSuite Consultant:

Marchese brings over 10 years of accounting and information systems experience with NetSuite and ERP.  He joins Plumb’s NetSuite Professional Services Division and assists with functional implementations, workflows, financial reporting optimization, saved searches, training end-users and customizing dashboards within NetSuite ERP.

Prior to Plumb, Marchese was a Controller for Paragon Micro a private retail-IT equipment reseller that grew from $45 million to $100 million in revenue during his four year tenure at the company.  He performed and managed the entire financial close process with oversight of AR, AP, Credit and Billing.  He is proficient in managing Sales Taxes in NetSuite using Avalara’s AvaTax, CertCapture, and Return products. Joe Lippert, CPA, NetSuite Consultant:

As a NetSuite Consultant, Lippert specializes in NetSuite’s Demand Planning module and helps determine the demand projection of inventory items in the coming months based on historical data and future trends or sales forecast information.  He also assists with functional implementations, data migration, work flows, form customizations and building systems adhering to Amazon shop and other third-party applications.  Lippert started as an Accounting Consultant at Plumb, providing controller services to various industries with duties ranging from daily operations to financial statement preparation and analysis.  He takes his prior accounting experience to the NetSuite division and works with clients to build new processes from an accounting perspective. Julia Brandl, Construction Software Specialist:

Brandl has extensive experience working in sales and the construction industry.  She helps to identify the right software solution based on company size, industry and specific needs.  Brandl specializes in software consulting, including implementation, training and support, as well as, construction accounting software, including job costing, project management and estimating. Plumb is an Authorized Sage Partner, focusing on Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage Estimating and the Developer of Contractor V Software.

Most recently, Brandl was an Associate District Manager at ADP.  She targeted local businesses for ADP services, such as payroll and HR solutions by cold calling, networking and cross selling to an existing client base.  She graduated Cum Laude and earned Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Business from San Diego State University.

William Theroux, Human Resources Coordinator, Plumb:

Theroux is a dedicated human resources specialist, specializing in learning and talent development, process improvement, group and individual training and orienting new team members.  At Plumb, his responsibility is to redefine the hiring process and expand employee development by creating a career path that helps solidify the employee experience.

Prior to joining Plumb, Theroux was with AMN Healthcare, where he earned the Rookie of the Year award. At AMN, he worked with the Learning Talent Development Department and HR Compliance.  He earned Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and Operations and a Minor in Accounting and Finance.  He was the President of the fraternity, Sigma Chi.

Rachel Murray, Office Manager, Plumb:

Murray joins Plumb to coordinate all the internal office management functions, including handling mail and bank deposits for staff and clients, managing calendars and concierge services for clients.  She also assists the Client Associates and Associate Consultants with administrative duties.  She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with an Associate’s Degree in Digital Media.
