San Diego Nonprofit Leadership Forum ~ Lunch & Learn Series
The Wisdom & Power of Succession Planning for Nonprofit Organizations
Does your nonprofit organization have a written succession plan in place? According to the BoardSource survey, Leading With Intent, only 34% of responding nonprofits reported having a documented succession plan. In this free lunch and learn, we will lay the groundwork for a successful leadership transition in the nonprofit sector. Topics include:
- Conducting an effective talent search
- Messaging and marketing the transition
- Forming and managing search committees
- Mitigating risk
- Managing internal vs external candidates
